1099 Vendor (General Contractor) Sourcer

About SFR3

SFR3 is a boutique real estate investment fund acquiring $2.5B+ of single-family homes by 2024. Our mission is to provide affordable homes for America’s workers by specializing in renovating distressed homes. We take a software-driven approach to operations in order to scale a large number of smaller markets at the same time.

In just 5 years, we’ve grown to 11k+ purchased homes in over two dozen metros, and we’re continuing to expand. As part of our growth, we’re looking to bring on a Vendor Manager dedicated to helping us identify, recruit, and activate General Contractors across the country!

Your Mandate

As a 1099 Vendor Sourcer, you will focus on sourcing "DTVs." As 1099 you could also work with other companies as well or do this on the side (side hustle) of your current employment (no conflict of interest).

  • A DTV vendor is defined as:
    • A Licensed General Contractor that can do renovation/turns
    • 5+ crews
    • Backoff job management
    • At least 1 w2 employee on staff (can control the margin)
    • AKA a mid to large sized GC (vs smaller).

  • Potential for $3,000 per sourced DTV
    • $1,000 for any DTV (Direct to Vendor) hire that is vetted, agreed upon, and onboards with SFR3.
      • Source 10 GCs that month --> $10K
    • An additional $1,000 if the vendor hired by the contractor becomes "certified." Meaning the first few projects are on time/budget. We certify (or not) at the 60 day mark.
    • An additional $1,000 if the vendor hired by the contractor reaches “Diamond Status.” Continuously does good work

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2+ years of direct experience in Construction or Trade Management
  • 2+ years sourcing/recruiting vendors (General Contractors)
  • General understanding of construction, renovation, and property operations
  • Ability to understand typical trade contractors across a broad spectrum of trades. (i.e., the pricing trends for plumbing)
  • Single Family Rental Experience (or other real estate investment fund) Preferred
