SFR3 is a boutique real estate investment fund acquiring $2.5B+ of single-family homes by 2024. We specialize in renovating distressed homes, using software-driven operations to scale a large number of smaller markets concurrently. In just over 3.5 years, we’ve grown to 10k+ homes in over two dozen metros, and we’re continuing to expand. As part of our growth, we are looking for a Renovation Director to oversee a high volume of projects and field staff in the Detroit Market.
SFR3 is different. Unlike other funds, our software automates work orders, payments, and other back office drudgery, enabling your teams to focus on renovating homes. You’ll put your leadership to work as a Renovation Director, managing a team of renovation managers to deliver hundreds of renovated homes each year. SFR3 wins when homes are delivered on time, on budget, and to our quality standard. Lots of people could make it happen with a few homes per year - can you make it happen with hundreds?
There are three key pillars to your success:
A relentless goal-oriented approach. You don’t sit behind a desk and wait for the reports to roll in. You’re on the move and finding the problems before they find you. Your phone is always blowing up, because your team knows you can clear roadblocks. And you don’t take “can’t” for an answer. You set your targets and you figure out how to achieve them.
Attention to detail. You’ll fully own the performance metrics for your geography, responsible for the execution of millions of dollars of renovation projects each year. You will hire, supervise, coach, and support a team of 5-10 renovation managers, each of whom are managing between 5-15 jobs at a time. You’ll award, review, and approve dozens of projects each month, and keep a relentless focus on schedule, budget, and quality.
Human-centered leadership. Without your team in the field, nothing gets done. Sure, you could take over for a couple of them, but that doesn’t scale. You create leverage by enabling and empowering your team to shoot for the stars themselves.
